John Rynd is well-experienced in business and operations efforts of the global offshore energy industry, with over four decades of experience in roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, John served as CEO, President and Board Member of Tidewater, Inc., conducting international operations through facilities located in over thirty countries worldwide.
Previously, John served as the CEO, President and Board Member of Hercules Offshore, Inc. for eight years, with an overall tenure of eleven years, leading the company through a pivotal time of growth. Prior to Hercules, Mr. Rynd spent 11 years with Noble Corporation, where he served in a variety of management roles. Prior to his tenure at Noble Corporation, Mr. Rynd worked on offshore drilling rigs in various roles with Rowan Companies, and then came onshore to work for Chiles Offshore, which was bought by Noble Corporation.
John currently serves on the Executive Committee of the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) and has served on the Executive Committee of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), as well as on the boards of various other companies and philanthropic causes.
John’s interests include spending time with family (wife of 34 years Carol, Clay-33, Kyle-31 and Kelly-28), playing golf and skiing.
